Historic Poole Forge presents Quilts in the Mansion. This is a collection of antique quilts from local eastern Lancaster County homesteads dating from the 1800's to 1950's. The exhibit is presented from Monday March 22 to Saturday, March 27, 2010, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. And best of all admission is only $5.00.
During the week of the Quilt show there are several SPECIAL EVENTS which have LIMITED SEATING and need special tickets.
On Wednesday March 24, at 10:00AM Barb Garrett, notable local Quilt Historian, will give a presentation at Bangor Episcopal Church in the center of the Village of Churchtown. Admission to the talk is $5.00, tickets are limited!
For folks from out of town, Historic Poole Forge has arranged for a local Amish family to serve 3 authentic Amish meals. The dates for this event are Monday, March 22 at 12 Noon, Wednesday, March 24 at 1:00 PM and Friday, March 26 at 5:00 PM. Seating again is limited and the ticket price is only $15.00. Tickets for the Talk and Meals can be purchased in advance by calling Betty at 717-445-1217.
